1. Chhattisgarh MARKFED : The Chhatttisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation (MARKFED) is an Apex
level Federation of Cooperative Marketing Societies in the State of Chhatttisgarh. Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation Limited, Raipur (Registration No. 216 dated 31.10.2000) came into existence simultaneously with the creation of new Chhattisgarh State on 1st November 2000. Markfed executes the work of paddy procurement under Price Support Scheme and supply of chemical fertilizers and plant protection material to the farmers of the state as per the instructions of Government. Chhatttisgarh Markfed has an extensive network of branches in the state: i. Head Office 1 ii. District Marketing Offices 27 District offices are located at almost all the district headquarters. These offices undertake bulk of business and are well equipped with infrastructure and are manned with experienced staff. 2. Main Objectives : 1. To assist and strengthen its member marketing and other marketing societies in the state. 2. To provide agricultural inputs to the farmers through member of societies numbering over one thousand to promote the production of their agricultural produce. 3. To procure the agricultural produce from farmers in regulated Procurement Center's. 4. To carry out welfare activities as per the state government directives. 5. To construct godowns (Open Storage Center's) to increase the storage facilities in the state. 6. Supply of inputs like Fertilisers. 7. Undertaking price support operations . 8. Acting as an agent to the Govt for procurement, supply and distribution of paddy. commodities and also Nodal agency for supply of inputs. 9. Undertaking commercial operations of agricultural produce . 10. Supply of quality Consumer provisions 3. The Chhatttisgarh State Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd: The Chhatttisgarh State Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd. is a wholly Semi Government company headquartered at the State Capital Raipur which is actively engaged in promoting the agro potential of Chhatttisgarh. Major Activities of Chhatttisgarh Markfed: 1. Marketing of Agricultural inputs such as Pesticides and Chemical Fertilizers. 2. Theird Large-scale production of Paddy in International market at India's largest farm. 3. Paddy procurement kharif marketing year. 4. Milling of procured paddy 5. Storage facilities and Kisan Rice Mills 6. Cattle Feed Factory 7. Chemical fertilizers business 8. Plant protection business 9. Providing incentives declared by the Central Government as well as State Government on different INCENTIVE SCHEMES.
