Copyright © 2014 , CG MARKFED All Rights Reserved Powered by Chhattisgarh Markfed                                  Chemical fertilizers and plant protection business :: As per demand from cooperatives and departments,  Markfed is arranging proper   distribution of fertilizers to the farmers from 106 double lock centres through 1333  cooperative societies.  For distribution of chemical fertilizers and plant protection  medicines, Markfed owns godowns having 3,25,375 MT capacity and for  additional  requirements, it takes godowns on hire and thus maintaining the distribution  system smooth. Kisan Rice Mills :: 29 Rice Mills of Markfed were established in 1970s, out of which 16 mills are in  running condition and Markfed’s proposal for modification of 8 mills is in process.  Cattle Feed Factory :: For production of cattle and poultry feeds there is a plant at Durg, in which high  quality feeds are produced, which are sold in public as well as private sector. Storage facilities ::  Markfed has got 3,23,000 MT capacity godowns through out the state.  It is  worthwhile to mention here that after formation of the state, 1.52 lakh MT capacity godowns have been  constructed, out of which 50-50 MT capacity godowns are  situated at Siltara, Hathkhoj and Borai.  Following are the specific achievements during the year 2012-13  • Ever recorded paddy procurement 71.36 lakh MT. • Paddy procurement by arranging funds comparatively on less interest rate,   saved nearly Rs. 65 crore on interest head. • In comparison to rice sale proceeds of Rs. 523.37 crore during 2008-09,  obtained Rs. 1545.45 crore during 2009-10 by submission of bills to Civil  Supplies Corporation and receipt of payment from them on line.  • Procured 71.36 lakh MT of paddy as against the target of 65 lakh, for which    arrangement of gunny bags were made from different sources by alternate  arrangements, thereby ensured continuous paddy procurement.   • Accounts of Markfed were maintained continuously and date wise for which  accounts of 2009-10 were computerized through tally software, thereby  restricted discrepancies. • In comparison to the chemical fertilizer sale of 4,84,360 MT during last  year,  this year the sales figure was 5,44,557 MT, which is a record sale ever. • In comparison to the plant protection medicine sale for the value of Rs. 1.17  crore during last  year till 31.12.2008,  this year the sale was made to a  value of Rs. 16.24 crore till 31.12.2009.  • With a view to study the computerization of paddy procurement, disposal and accounting in the state, officers of other states like Andhra Pradesh,  Maharashtra, Orissa, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat have visited  Chhattisgarh. In case the business achievements and figures of Chhattisgarh Markfed  continuously since formation of the new state are thoroughly viewed, no doubt, it  can be ascertained that Markfed is continuously active in development of the  welfare and life standard of the small and medium farmers,  following the  instructions and rules of the state government, and also got success in fulfilling its  aims.This has enabled Markfed to obtain several awards on national level, thereby  Markfed as well as the state is much proud.
